< dc:description > La globalización neoliberal desafía a las asociaciones que históricamente agrupan al profesorado a construir otras formas de participación política de sus militantes en el dominio virtual. Sin embargo, son escasos los estudios que incluyan este registro en la comprensión de la protesta y otras formas de asociacionismo docente. A partir de un estudio etnográfico digital que incluyó análisis de la actividad en redes, conversacionales, entrevistas a usuarios y análisis de redes virtuales, buscamos describir la acción de una asociación de docentes chilena. Los resultados muestran que las redes sociales permiten comprender otras formas de participación política del profesorado, que se tensiona en la construcción de fuerza mayoritaria y la aparición de una subjetividad política. Estos resultados discuten las oportunidades que ofrece lo virtual para la acción organizada, y con ello, respuestas a la crisis de las asociaciones docentes. </ dc:description >
