About us
Catalònica is a portal that provides a window to the digital collections of Catalunya; It also serves as a directory of these collections, facilitating participation in international digital libraries and services such as Europeana, of which it is an aggregator.
It indexes digital and digitized sources found in libraries, archives, museums and all kinds of institutions: books, magazines and newspapers, manuscripts, incunabula, scores, sound, audiovisuals, objects, paintings, photographs and much more, which constitute the cultural memory and knowledge generated in Catalunya.
It is promoted by the Biblioteca de Catalunya of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
